Job Summary

Anser Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our Transportation East division, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of transportation construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform construction administration and inspection services for transportation projects, including roadway and bridge projects, and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
  • Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment.
  • Review contractors' schedules and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Coordinate third-party special material testing inspections.
  • Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
  • Maintain project records and manage project photographic records.
  • Verify field surveys and maintain a daily report of all work site activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of construction-related experience, preferably with ODOT or Ohio Turnpike.
  • Experience with transportation construction methods, including concrete construction, site excavation, and grading, pipe installation, signage, striping, hot mix asphalt construction, and temporary traffic control.
  • A valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel to various Ohio project areas as needed.
  • Different levels of construction certifications are preferred but not required. Anser Advisory will assist with obtaining necessary certifications.
