Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction administration and inspection services for transportation projects, including roadway and bridge construction, and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of field observations, including daily reports and field measurements.
  • Review contractors' schedules and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Coordinate special material testing inspections and review potential change order issues.
  • Maintain project records and manage photographic records.
  • Verify field surveys and maintain a daily report of all work site activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of construction-related experience, preferably with ODOT or Ohio Turnpike.
  • Experience with transportation construction methods, including concrete construction, site excavation, and grading, pipe installation, signage, striping, and Hot Mix Asphalt construction.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with vehicle policy.
  • Ability to travel to various project areas as needed.
  • Preferred certifications include ODOT certifications, ACI concrete field-testing Technician, NICET Highway Construction level II, and IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Tech Level II.
