The Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Minneapolis is seeking a Culinary Operations Supervisor to join our esteemed team. This is a remarkable opportunity to be part of a globally recognized luxury hotel brand.
The Culinary Operations Supervisor holds a pivotal role within the kitchen team, reporting directly to the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
As the Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will oversee menu preparation and execution, serving as a vital link between the head chef and kitchen staff. Responsibilities may include management tasks such as training kitchen personnel, organizing production workflows, and overseeing inventory management. You will collaborate with other lead chefs to ensure the dining operation adheres to budgetary guidelines while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the culinary team within the dining outlet.
- Assist in developing menu recipes, creating daily specials, and managing inventory orders.
- Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.
- Ensure adherence to culinary standards, training staff on menus, recipes, and cooking techniques.
The ideal candidate will possess formal culinary training and have a minimum of two years of experience as a Chef de Partie or prior experience as a Sous Chef. Candidates should have a diverse background in various food service environments.
- 3-5 years of culinary experience.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer usage.
- Must hold a valid Food Safety Certification; familiarity with Birch Street is advantageous.
- A genuine commitment to providing exceptional service to residents, guests, and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated work ethic and a sense of responsibility within the team.
