Position Overview
  • Oversees kitchen staff, including line cooks and stewards, ensuring performance aligns with budgetary and quality expectations.
  • Responsible for procuring kitchen supplies, upholding service efficiency, and adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Conducts inventory assessments, organizes team meetings, and guarantees proper food presentation and waste management.
  • Mentors and trains team members to uphold high-quality culinary standards.
  • Forecasts staffing needs, coordinates catering events, and maintains product quality and consistency.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high-volume culinary setting is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across various departments.
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities and adeptness at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising culinary personnel at various levels is required.
Educational Background
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; a college degree is preferred.
  • Certifications in food safety and management are required.
  • Health permits and Alcohol Awareness certifications are necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Must be capable of working in a physically demanding setting, spending considerable time on foot.
  • Able to lift heavy items and communicate effectively with guests.
  • Specific vision and physical capabilities are required.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels is expected.
  • Must navigate confined spaces and manage potential hazards such as cuts and burns.
  • Regular hand hygiene and glove usage are required.
Language Proficiency
