Ebenezer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to lead our Food and Nutrition Services Department. This key role is responsible for the coordination and management of our culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals, including a nutrition services supervisor, dietary assistants, and chefs.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, in compliance with current regulations and requirements.
- Manage department budgets, maintain records on meal census, menus, and food costs, and process employee payroll electronically.
- Establish and maintain departmental regulations and procedures, ensuring optimal sanitation practices and compliance with government regulations and company standards.
- Build effective relationships with other managers and departments to provide optimal resident care and support.
- Assist with coordination and planning of interdepartmental activities, such as Life Enrichment, Resident Council, and special events.
- Vocational or technical training or an associate degree in a related field.
- 1-3 years of previous experience in a culinary management role.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietetic Technician Certification (must obtain within 18 months of hire date).
- Food Manager Certification.
