The Warranty Specialist is a key liaison between customers and manufacturers for all warranty-related issues and claims. This role is responsible for managing the warranty claims process, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a core parts inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers and vendors to negotiate warranty service agreements, manage claims, and create or maintain core parts inventory.
- Process Warranty Documentation: Prepare and process warranty documentation according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaison for Field Technicians: Serve as the primary point of contact for field technicians, parts room, and stores for all warranty claims, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, store managers, and warehouse staff.
- Claim Submission and Follow-up: Submit claims quickly and efficiently, following up with manufacturers to ensure proper processing.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and track warranty claims.
This role requires effective communication with internal maintenance teams, store managers, and warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will also establish and maintain positive relationships with OEM and aftermarket equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
Requirements- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; applicable trade school or training program preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of service parts experience, including inventory management system usage; 2-3 years preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Forklift licenses preferred (training and licensing provided).
This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, with regular pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, and climbing. Carrying, setting, walking, standing, and lifting above shoulder level are also required on an irregular basis.
Work Schedule40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
