Job Summary

The Warranty Specialist is a critical role that serves as the primary point of contact between customers and manufacturers for all warranty-related issues and claims. This position is responsible for managing the warranty claims process, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and maintaining a cost-effective operation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and vendors to negotiate warranty service agreements, manage claims, and maintain core parts inventory.
  2. Prepare and process warranty documentation according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  3. Act as a liaison between field technicians, parts room, and stores for all warranty claims, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  4. Develop and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Submit claims quickly and efficiently, following up with manufacturers to ensure proper processing.
  6. Utilize strong attention to detail, documentation, and tracking skills to ensure successful claim resolution.
  7. Perform other duties as directed by management, supporting the overall goals and objectives of the department.
Working Relationships

This role requires effective communication and collaboration with internal maintenance teams, store managers, warehouse teams, and external stakeholders, including OEM and aftermarket equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and remanufacturers.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: Applicable trade school or training program, manufacturer's equipment certifications

Minimum Experience: 0-2 years service parts experience, including usage of computer inventory management system

Preferred Experience: 2-3 years service parts experience, including usage of computer inventory management system

Licenses/Certifications: Preferred - Forklift licenses (training and licensing provided)

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to organize daily workload with minimal oversight

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, grasp, grip, and manipulate objects, push, pull, bend, kneel, twist, climb, carry, set, walk, stand, and lift above shoulder level on a regular basis.

Work Environment

40 hours, Monday-Friday
