Marketing Field Coordinator

Position Overview: The Field Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the execution of the business unit's Fuel & Merchandise Marketing strategy aimed at achieving significant business goals. This position collaborates closely with the Field Marketing Manager and the Marketing & Merchandising Departments at both the National and Business Area levels to create tailored marketing and advertising initiatives that enhance product visibility and store presence. Additionally, the Field Marketing Specialist aids in the implementation of National and Business Area sales strategies through effective signage execution, ensuring that sign packages meet the specific needs of each location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support strategic initiatives from both National and Business Area levels, ensuring alignment with local site requirements.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of printed and digital signage, guaranteeing operational effectiveness at store locations.
- Manage local media relations and execute public relations campaigns, including grand openings and post-renovation promotions.
- Develop and implement localized social media marketing strategies.
- Oversee the marketing and advertising budget for the business unit.
- Conduct local market research, summarizing findings and presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Provide content for internal communications and external digital platforms as needed.
- Manage social investment programs and prepare for crisis communication.
- Participate in weekly communications reporting and media monitoring.
- Enhance professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
- Contribute to team objectives by achieving Financial and Key Result Area targets in line with Company Plan guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- A minimum of two years of experience in marketing, merchandising, or communications is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated success in media relations and public relations campaigns.
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in managing third-party relationships and/or direct reports is beneficial.
- Customer-focused with a strong commercial mindset, dedicated to driving the company's success.
- Creative thinker with proficient design and organizational skills; willingness to travel up to 50% may be required.
- Retail experience is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds and carrying of materials as needed.
- Capability to climb ladders and reach overhead for signage placement.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise levels and typical lighting conditions.
- Exposure to varying temperatures while supervising store operations.
- Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.
