  • Full-Time employees: 40-hour workweek

Key Responsibilities

A Flooring Sales Specialist enjoys engaging with customers and building relationships based on trust and understanding. Our clients view their consultant as a knowledgeable problem-solver, eager to create the perfect solution for their flooring needs.

Each Flooring Sales Specialist undergoes comprehensive training, which includes:

  • In-depth product knowledge of our extensive range of high-quality flooring options.
  • Understanding the technology that enhances HOM Furniture's operations and simplifies the sales process for customers.
  • Our distinctive customer-centric sales approach.
  • Precision in processing sales quotes, measuring spaces, and finalizing orders.
  • Thorough follow-up on product deliveries and installations.
  • Guidance on ordering customized flooring from a wide array of choices.
  • Mentorship aimed at achieving financial growth and potential career advancement in leadership or corporate roles.

We emphasize outstanding customer experiences in our spacious, beautifully designed stores. Each Flooring Sales Specialist asks insightful questions, listens attentively, and consistently delivers the ideal design solution. They take pride in the results, just as much as our customers do.

Sales Specialists also assist in maintaining pricing information and perform light cleaning tasks in their designated areas.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a 2-year or 4-year college degree is preferred.

Experience in big-ticket or commission-based sales is preferred, including fields such as flooring, home furnishings, automotive, recreational vehicles, or appliances.

Experience: One to three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Moderate physical demands are expected. Flooring Sales Specialists must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Additional Requirements: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
