A Flooring Sales Consultant thrives on connecting with customers and establishing trust-based relationships. Clients view their consultant as a knowledgeable problem-solver, dedicated to finding the perfect flooring solutions for their homes.

Each Flooring Sales Consultant undergoes comprehensive training, which includes:

  • In-depth product knowledge of our extensive range of quality flooring options.
  • Understanding the technology that enhances HOM Furniture's operations and simplifies the sales process for customers.
  • Adopting our customer-centric sales approach.
  • Mastering precise sales quote processing, job measurements, and final orders.
  • Ensuring thorough follow-up on product deliveries and installations.
  • Learning to order customized flooring from a wide array of choices.
  • Receiving mentorship aimed at financial growth and potential career advancement into leadership or corporate roles.

We focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences in our spacious, beautifully designed stores. Each Flooring Sales Consultant is trained to ask insightful questions, listen carefully, and provide tailored design solutions that meet customer needs. They take pride in the outcomes they help create.

Sales Consultants also assist in maintaining cleanliness in their designated areas, including light vacuuming and dusting.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a 2-year or 4-year college degree is preferred.

Experience in big-ticket or commission-based sales is advantageous, including fields such as flooring, home furnishings, automotive, recreational vehicles, or appliances.

Experience: One to three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Moderate physical activity is necessary. Flooring Sales Consultants must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Additional Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
