Assistant Professor of Finance

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Finance to join our dynamic faculty team at Georgia Southern University. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level finance courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's academic and service missions.
Responsibilities- Teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including banking and finance courses
- Conduct research in finance and publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals
- Contribute to departmental service, including committee work and advising students
- Develop and maintain a strong research agenda, with a focus on publishing in top-tier finance journals
To be considered for this position, you must have a terminal degree in Finance or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution. You should also have a strong research agenda, with a focus on publishing in top-tier finance journals.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include university-level teaching experience in finance, experience delivering remote instruction, and the ability to interact with industry professionals.
