Academic Finance Professor

The Department of Finance at Georgia Southern University seeks a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Finance to join our team. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, conducting research, and engaging in service to the institution.
Responsibilities
Teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including banking and financial management.
Conduct research in finance and publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals.
Engage in service to the institution, including departmental and university-level committees.
Requirements
Earned terminal degree in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Initial and continuous faculty qualification status per AACSB guidelines.
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
Commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda.
Preferred Qualifications
University-level teaching experience in finance.
Experience delivering remote instruction.
Ability and desire to interact with industry professionals.
