Contract Position
The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in ServiceNow and MS Office 365, alongside some Desktop Technician skills. The primary focus of this role is to maintain precise inventories of laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other IT assets. While technical knowledge is beneficial, the emphasis is on the accuracy of inventory management.
Experience in asset management is essential, and the role will not involve addressing user support issues. The focus will be strictly on asset oversight and management.
- Ensure accountability for assets within stockrooms.
- Maintain accuracy of IT Asset Management (ITAM) records.
- Receive and update new inventory within the ITAM system.
- Oversee the decommissioning process for retired assets.
- Conduct regular security audits in collaboration with Physical Security.
- Ensure the stockroom is organized and clean.
- Manage both daily operations and long-term strategies for hardware and software.
- Conduct asset discovery initiatives.
- Provide detailed reporting on key metrics.
- Oversee the asset lifecycle management.
- Track usage of IT assets.
- Monitor hardware and software utilization.
- Keep records of hardware and software licenses.
- Manage the number of IT assets and their usage.
- Track expired warranties (EOL/EOS).
- Assess costs associated with maintaining IT assets.
- Differentiate between licensed and unlicensed software.
- Strategize and monitor hardware assets and software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
- Maintain a reporting schedule to provide KPI/Metric information as required by management.
- Engage in various projects and provide support as needed.
- Manage the inventory of Configuration Items (CIs) and assets, ensuring accurate records of modifications, withdrawals, and additions.
- Oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software models from introduction to end-of-life.
- Supervise compliance audit activities.
- Continuously seek process improvements for efficiency.
- Participate in additional IT asset management processes.
