Operations Supervisor Hauling

As a key member of our operations team, the Operations Supervisor - Hauling Operations will be responsible for overseeing the collections activities in one or more lines of business, including commercial, residential, roll-off (industrial), and container delivery and pick-up. This role will work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to all accident prevention programs and lead operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics, and other standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety
- Develop and implement safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions on new routes or for new customers.
- Customer Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Work with customers to resolve issues and improve the overall customer experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Efficiency
- Develop and implement plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with drivers to optimize routes and reduce fuel consumption.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Employee Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with employees to identify and address concerns and issues.
- Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
