Front Office Supervisor

Job Summary
The Front Office Supervisor is a key member of the Highgate Hotel team, responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and amenities.
- Front Desk Operations
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs, handling room assignments and key cards.
- Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and train front desk staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and maintain front desk performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Administrative Tasks
- Manage front desk paperwork, including guest records and reports.
- Process guest payments and handle cash handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in hospitality or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and experience working with guests.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods and move around the front desk area.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull carts as needed.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
