Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in executing the sales strategy of the hotel, ensuring occupancy, average daily rate, and market share goals are achieved. This position involves assisting clients in a timely manner, handling inquiries, and performing general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards
  • Develop and maintain assigned segmentation goals to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients to produce targeted room night goals
  • Execute directives from the hotel Director of Sales and Regional Sales Director
  • Communicate operational problems impacting hotel sales performance
  • Work with group prospecting websites and create hotel-level tactical sales plans
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate services for prospective clients
  • Attend Evening Social and Breakfast events to prospect for additional sales leads
Requirements
  • Previous background in the extended stay industry preferred
  • Fluent English language skills; other languages beneficial
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, and profit/loss concepts
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred
  • Ability to travel, including some overnight travel
