Position Overview:
As a key member of The Auto Club Group, the Retail Sales Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and service excellence across various product lines within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Collaborate with the Retail Sales Leader to achieve sales and service objectives across all ACG offerings within the assigned territory.

2. Formulate and implement strategies for daily operations to ensure effective branch performance.

3. Assist in the creation, execution, and evaluation of annual operational strategies and growth plans.

4. Support the achievement of agency, product, revenue, and service targets by mentoring and developing sales agents and branch personnel.

5. Analyze local market conditions and execute business strategies aimed at enhancing and diversifying relationships with existing and prospective clients.

6. Aid in managing workforce and ensuring optimal staffing levels for all roles within the assigned area.

7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures across all lines of business.

8. Engage in ACG's Field Leadership Development Program, completing all required training within the specified timeframe.

9. Foster relationships with business partners to enhance product and service knowledge.

10. Stay informed about regulatory changes that may impact sales and service operations.

11. Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to onboard new sales agents and service representatives.

12. Conduct site visits to connect with agents and address training, operational, and sales requirements.

13. Provide insights and guidance on the dynamics of assigned insurance or travel products/services.

14. Mentor agents regarding compensation, bonuses, and sales performance opportunities.

15. Work with agents to identify and cultivate cross-selling opportunities.

16. Analyze sales performance of assigned agents to pinpoint areas for improvement.

17. Utilize lead management and marketing resources to develop and refine action plans.

18. Ensure compliance with processes and procedures among assigned agents and locations.

19. Communicate any issues or concerns to the Retail Sales Leader.

20. Coordinate the execution of various operational tasks.

21. Liaise with Field Controls, Audit, and other departments to monitor field activities.

22. Address customer appeasements and resolve issues as necessary.

23. Stay updated on community trends and competitive landscapes.

24. Support product and membership promotional campaigns to meet sales objectives.

25. Provide on-site assistance for local events and initiatives.

26. Initiate, develop, execute, and oversee assigned projects while maintaining documentation and providing periodic updates to management.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary State Property & Casualty licenses
- May need to acquire appropriate State Life Sales licenses

Experience:
- Minimum of two years in a Property and Casualty field operations setting.

Knowledge:
- Familiarity with captive agent insurance sales channel operations
- Understanding of insurance and financial products, services, and regulations
- Proficiency in sales techniques and delivery systems

Skills:
- Ability to set sales goals for agents and sales staff
- Capacity to coach, mentor, and assist in performance management
- Competence in achieving customer retention and satisfaction goals
- Proficient in resolving customer issues and appeasements
- Participation in company-approved training programs
- Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field

Experience:
- Leadership experience in motivating and developing sales and service teams.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of The Auto Club Group's products and services
- Expertise in sales techniques and coaching retail personnel

Work Environment:
- Office environment with temperature control
- Frequent travel with exposure to road hazards
- Flexibility to work irregular hours
