Job Summary

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice. As a key member of our team, you will provide support in financial management processes, capabilities, systems, tools, and applications within the areas of budget planning, execution, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support in financial management processes, including budget planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Document procedures and client management decisions in formal narratives.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with clients and identify opportunities to provide additional services.
  • Investigate accounting issues, accounting methodologies, and effects on the financial statements.
  • Support engagements by generating reports, performing reconciliations, and requested information from auditors.
  • Identify reconciliation issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, and A-136.
  • Research Federal standards, policies, regulations, and technical guidance.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of federal financial management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and/or analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred.
  • Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls.
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements.
  • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government TS/SCI + Poly security clearance.
