Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and oversee the storage and distribution of goods across various locations.
  • Collaborate with the shipping coordinator to ensure timely pickups of scheduled shipments and address any carrier-related issues.
  • Conduct investigations with the shipping coordinator to rectify shipping discrepancies.
  • Manage return shipments due to overages or customer refusals, processing returns and claims as necessary.
  • Enhance and strengthen relationships with freight carriers.
  • Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with product carriers.
  • Establish and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments with approved carriers.
  • Utilize logistics software and IT systems to optimize operations.
  • Coordinate and manage the order cycle of deliveries in conjunction with the Purchasing department.
  • Evaluate supply chain resources for effectiveness and work towards improvement solutions.
  • Achieve targets for cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Address any arising issues or complaints and monitor KPI reports to enhance on-time shipping performance.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of transportation practices and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
