**Job Description**

We are seeking a part-time Parent Partner to work at least 25 hours per week for Franklin County in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience as a parent or family member who has navigated the Child Welfare System.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Team Decision Making (TDM) Meetings as a supportive voice for families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and ability to implement concepts presented in orientation and training.
  • Implement professional behavior elements such as working with people, clear communication, maintaining confidentiality, and respectful interaction.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, sincerity, and willingness to help others.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attend court appearances and meetings when requested by the parent.
  • Serve as the parents' voice on committees and workgroups.
  • Initiate contact to review pertinent family information and discuss cases with stakeholders.
  • Meet with assigned parents as agreed upon in supervision.
  • Assess clients and determine case needs.
  • Document all contacts and interactions with mentees.
  • Celebrate mentees' successes and encourage positive behavior.

**Salary and Benefits**

The target salary for this position is $18.72/hour, commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure. Our comprehensive benefit plan includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending, and Health Savings account options. We also offer a 401(k) Retirement plan with company match, 6 paid holidays, generous sick and vacation time, and additional benefits.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Life-Trained paraprofessional experience as a parent or family member who has navigated the Child Welfare System.
  • Closed cases with state/county agencies and maintained family stability.
  • A valid Driver's License.
