Comprehensive Child and Family Advocate

Nationwide Children's Hospital seeks a skilled Home Visitor to join our team in providing comprehensive community home visiting services to women and their families as part of the Healthy Families America (HFA) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with expectant mothers, their children, and their families to provide excellent in-home support, maintaining professional boundaries, and providing parenting education and support.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, human ecology, child development, or education, and possess a general knowledge of child and family development and related concepts.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide general child and family advocacy, case management, and evidence-based prevention support.
- Meet with families in their homes or virtually online via telehealth, delivering services, providing parenting education, and offering support and problem-solving skills.
- Develop family goal plans in collaboration with families that incorporate their strengths, visions, goals, and priorities.
- Link parents and children to appropriate resources within Franklin County.
