Job Overview

We're looking for a compassionate and skilled professional to provide comprehensive support services to families in Franklin County and surrounding areas. As a Family Advocate and Support Specialist, you will work closely with expectant mothers, their children, and their families to ensure they receive the necessary resources and guidance to thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Provide General Child and Family Advocacy: Offer case management, evidence-based prevention support, and general advocacy to individuals presenting to The Center for Family Safety and Healing within the Healthy Families America Home Visitation Program.
  • Deliver Services in Homes and Communities: Meet with families in their homes, community settings, or virtually online via telehealth, providing parenting education, support, and problem-solving skills daily.
  • Educate Families on Developmental Milestones and Health Services: Inform families about expected developmental milestones for their child and the importance of routine medical and health services, linking them to appropriate resources within Franklin County.
  • Maintain Sound Knowledge of Community Resources: Understand and implement family-centered, linguistically, and culturally appropriate approaches in family routines and activities, providing services sensitive to the families being served.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Related Field: Hold a degree in social work, human ecology, child development, education, nursing, or a related field.
  • Licensure (LSW or RN): Possess LSW or RN licensure, preferred but not required.
  • Computer System Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems such as Outlook, Word, etc.
Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $$55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
