PeopleShare is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Lead.
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse, which includes orchestrating inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the upkeep of warehouse equipment and cleanliness. This position is accountable to the Warehouse Manager and is vital in upholding safety standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the loading of freight for local drivers.
  • Manage and distribute paperwork from previous shifts to relevant departments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks through both digital systems and physical counts.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to meet customer expectations.
  • Oversee warehouse staff schedules and ensure comprehensive training for all team members.
  • Implement procedures for warehouse operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain dock procedures and manage warehouse space effectively.
  • Handle billing processes for warehouse clients as required.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with labor planning and provide updates on operational status.
  • Monitor productivity levels within the warehouse.
  • Foster positive interactions with internal departments such as HR, customer service, sales, logistics, operations, and finance.

Safety and Compliance Objectives:
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established protocols.
  • Operate all warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following best practices.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, prioritizing safety in all operations.
  • Identify and rectify unsafe conditions within the facility.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to job functions, including safety and quality training.
  • Participate in all required annual training sessions.
  • Report all incidents, regardless of severity.
  • Implement the Food Safety Plan to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality products.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices, including hygiene and waste disposal standards.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to analyze and report on historical data trends.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in inventory management and transportation logistics.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and training.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
