As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to deliver outstanding logistics solutions. Your focus will be on ensuring that our warehousing and distribution services are executed with the utmost integrity and efficiency, prioritizing our workforce.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Specialist is tasked with the recruitment and onboarding of new associates to fill essential warehouse roles. You will maintain daily communication with staff to ensure adherence to company policies and handle disciplinary actions when necessary. Employee relations will be a vital aspect of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring:
    • Post job openings as required.
    • Collaborate with staffing agencies to fill vacancies.
    • Conduct interviews and evaluate potential candidates.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Promptly investigate and address employee complaints.
    • Manage disciplinary processes as needed.
    • Engage with personnel daily to address concerns and clarify policies.
  • Operational Flexibility:
    • Willingness to cover various shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
    • Travel between assigned locations as required.
  • Performance Management:
    • Conduct employee performance reviews as necessary.
    • Oversee accident and incident investigations.
    • Maintain accurate personnel records, including reviews and attendance.
  • Documentation Management:
    • Review and update HR documentation annually.
    • Support training initiatives for new hires and ongoing staff development.
    • Prepare HR reports as required by management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Knowledge of relevant labor laws.
    • Proficient in computer applications, including web-based recruiting tools and Microsoft Office.
    • SHRM certification is preferred.
Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled office within a warehouse setting. Standard office equipment, such as computers and phones, will be utilized regularly.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, and depth perception.
