PeopleShare is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Warehouse Lead position.
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations for both incoming and outgoing shipments. This position involves inventory management, equipment maintenance, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility. The Warehouse Lead will prioritize nightly tasks and report directly to the Warehouse Manager, upholding safety standards and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the loading of freight for local drivers.
  • Process and distribute paperwork from the previous day to relevant departments.
  • Monitor inventory levels through both digital tracking and physical counts.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics to meet customer expectations.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring proper training and scheduling.
  • Implement procedures for warehouse operations effectively.
  • Maintain dock procedures for customer shipments.
  • Manage warehouse space and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Handle billing for warehouse customers as required.
  • Assist in production and labor planning with management, providing updates on labor needs and best practices.
  • Track daily productivity within the department.
  • Ensure positive interactions with internal customers, including HR, sales, logistics, and finance.

Safety and Compliance Objectives:
  • Foster a safe and clean working environment by adhering to established policies.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed methods.
  • Comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions within the facility.
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to job functions, quality, and safety training.
  • Participate in all required annual training sessions.
  • Report all incidents, regardless of severity.
  • Execute the Food Safety Plan to ensure the delivery of safe and quality products.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices, including waste disposal and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to analyze and report on historical data trends.
  • Strong work ethic and planning skills.
  • Experience in inventory control and transportation logistics.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and data entry.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and training.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
