Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a key member of our registration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
- Work closely with clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Stay up-to-date on departmental policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- High school degree or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
