- Utilize computer systems and software programs to input, update, and retrieve patient data and records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with office staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and services.
- Assist patients and caregivers with information regarding office procedures, policies, and protocols, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Address patient complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating issues to management as necessary.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting, preferably in a patient access or clinical support role.
- Medical Assistant Certificate and BLS Certification from the American Heart Association are required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Terminology is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
- Ability to work one weekend day every other weekend, as required.
