POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Division Manager is accountable for overseeing all Account Managers and driving sales performance within the designated region. This role involves leading the sales team, establishing both short-term and long-term objectives for the sales division, and collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exemplify, recruit, and mentor team members in line with Core Behaviors.
  • Foster a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Achieve sales and gross profit targets for the fiscal year by actively engaging with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews with each Account Manager, analyzing sales metrics against established goals.
  • Ensure documented cost savings and fulfill commitments made to clients, ensuring all assessments are completed within 90 days.
  • Support the BlackHawk Pricing Program to enhance profit margins and assist in the implementation of new processes.
  • Review weekly accounts receivable reports in collaboration with the BlackHawk credit specialist and provide support as needed.
  • Collaborate with BlackHawk purchasing on vendor-related issues, special pricing, and growth opportunities, while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to guarantee timely feedback to clients through alternative web portals.
  • Strive to deliver the highest level of customer service in the industry, providing assistance to the customer service team.
  • Ensure that BlackHawk receives optimal value for expenditures.
  • Lead initiatives in support of the ISO documentation process.
  • Document and analyze sales data and industry trends.
  • Build and nurture professional relationships.
  • Design and execute sales programs.
  • Train sales personnel and implement strategies to enhance employee performance.
  • Ensure that activities align with established sales objectives and quotas.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and industrial distribution.
  • Highly effective time management capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate goals and facilitate goal-setting processes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct oversight of Account Managers within the assigned region.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • No specific certifications required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to communicate effectively in English, and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to manipulate tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus clearly.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIRED:

  • Eye protection, ear protection, and, as required by the customer, steel-toed shoes and head protection.
