Key Responsibilities in This Role


Oversee, coordinate, and/or manage non-manual survey teams and skilled trades involved in the execution of construction initiatives and maintenance operations.

Provide design insights, liaise with operational divisions, track and manage timelines and budgets, and oversee the planning and execution of field tasks.


Direct and synchronize the activities of field teams engaged in surveying to support construction installation efforts. Offer technical guidance and operational support to survey team members.

Utilize various surveying tools and instruments to accurately establish the physical layout of projects, ensuring both horizontal and vertical alignment.

Maintain comprehensive and precise field documentation of all activities undertaken.

Supervise ongoing construction support requests as specified by diverse stakeholders, such as Construction Managers, Craft Supervisors, and Design teams, to ensure adherence to technical specifications.

Engage with management and clients to troubleshoot issues and coordinate efforts. Conduct feasibility assessments, design evaluations, and site inspections for proposed construction projects and activities. Identify and address challenges as necessary.

Conduct thorough reviews of proposed design outputs, methodologies, and action plans, providing recommendations or modifications for effective implementation to achieve intended outcomes.

Assist in formulating scopes of work, cost estimates, and timelines. Ensure project execution aligns with approved baselines and manage changes appropriately.

Prepare and/or supply data for the creation of construction survey deliverables, including:
drawings, sketches, field notes, coordinate listings, CAD files, etc.

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Layout and grading for the installation of various commodities and structures
  • Field inspections in collaboration with design and construction engineering teams
  • Assistance to craft personnel
  • Familiarity with drafting, blueprint interpretation, relevant mathematics, and the use of surveying tools and techniques is preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements


SRNS is mandated by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation that includes checks of personal references, credit history, criminal records, and verification of employment and education.

Positions with SRNS may necessitate candidates to obtain and retain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Factors such as background investigation results, dual citizenship status, and outstanding/unfiled taxes may influence your eligibility for a security clearance.
