Position Overview

The role of the Air Export Customer Service Supervisor involves supporting the management team in overseeing the Air Export Department. This includes ensuring the efficient and timely handling of freight while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Duties

  • Facilitate seamless freight processing.
  • Prepare documentation necessary for international shipping.
  • Negotiate and coordinate rates with contracted service providers.
  • Ensure accurate billing for clients and vendors.
  • Maintain precise data entry in the operational system.
  • Engage with customers to arrange their international shipments, adhering to service standards.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
  • Monitor shipment reports to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Support Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing operational reports and updating event codes.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Financial Management

  • Ensure timely payment processing within 30 days.
  • Adhere to company credit procedures.
  • Resolve any billing discrepancies with vendors.

Sales and Customer Retention

  • Support management in responding to customer inquiries and competitive pricing.
  • Participate in onboarding new business and updates to existing accounts.
  • Conduct customer reviews to document feedback.

Team Development

  • Identify and mentor potential leaders within the team.
  • Distribute workloads to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements.

System Improvement

  • Encourage the use of productivity tools and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to suggestions for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of market trends and products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and organized with strong computer skills.
  • Hazardous Materials certification is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Air Export Supervisor and Manager.
