Educational Background and Experience Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience or two (2) years of accredited education in aviation electronics is required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is essential.

Position Objective:

Supports the troubleshooting and rectification of system discrepancies to minimize schedule disruptions. Exhibits technical proficiency by implementing process improvements aimed at reducing costs while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Job ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Demonstrates foundational technical abilities in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
  2. Under supervision, carries out the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems according to Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals, ensuring a defect-free outcome.
  3. Aids in maintaining the quality and efficiency of all installations. Troubleshoots processes and concepts to deliver timely, high-quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  4. Acquires and showcases the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring, ensuring installations meet conformity standards. Demonstrates proficient repair techniques utilizing acceptable practices such as splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.
  5. Executes and adheres to engineering changes and modifications as necessary.
  6. Assists in the setup and operation of required test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests to assess performance and reliability.
  7. Under supervision, ensures that all work performed on the aircraft is accurately documented and prepared for inspection.
  8. Tests and maintains test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
  9. Complies with the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
Additional Functions:
  1. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may involve flight tests on aircraft as required.
Performs other assigned duties as necessary.Other Requirements:
  1. Must be capable of climbing stairs and ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
