Position Title: Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the safety program across various locations, including fixed branches and job sites.
  • Coach and ensure compliance with corporate safety standards in the field.
  • Manage corporate training and safety initiatives to enhance employee engagement and participation.
  • Conduct timely and precise data entry for various Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) reports and systems.
  • Document all work-related incidents and ensure proper logging within the company's system.
  • Maintain and update all Environmental, Safety, and Training documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
  • Communicate training deadlines effectively to management to ensure timely compliance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of safety training materials and records.
  • Provide support for the Learning Management System administrator as needed.
  • Coordinate Safety Team Meetings, documenting minutes and attendance while keeping postings current.
  • Facilitate communication regarding safety issues across all branches and departments.
  • Track and update internal safety-related statistics.
  • Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives.
  • Perform general office duties and other related EHS tasks as assigned.
  • Contribute to the development of quality metrics and assist with data entry as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Provide training to personnel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to job sites and satellite offices as required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent coursework in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years of office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Compliance Programs.
  • Experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a multi-department environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including document editing, proofreading, and record keeping.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage department projects from start to finish.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
