Key Responsibilities
  1. 401k Retirement Plan Management
    • Administer and manage the company's 401k retirement plan.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of contributions and distributions.
    • Provide education and support to employees regarding plan options and benefits.
    • Monitor compliance with ERISA and other relevant regulations.
    • Coordinate with third-party administrators and auditors as needed.
  2. Billing and Expense Management
    • Oversee the billing process for benefits-related expenses.
    • Reconcile invoices and ensure accurate payment processing.
    • Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions.
  3. Leave of Absence and Time-Off Management
    • Manage employee leave of absence requests including FMLA, personal leave, and other statutory leave.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
    • Track and document all leave of absence activities.
    • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
  4. Disability Accommodation and Workplace Safety
    • Administer and manage the company's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
    • Coordinate reasonable accommodation requests and interactive processes.
    • Ensure documentation and communication are in compliance with ADA requirements.
    • Provide training and support to managers and employees on ADA compliance.
  5. Workers' Compensation and Injury Management
    • Manage workman's compensation claims from initial report to resolution.
    • Coordinate with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, and employees to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
    • Maintain records of all workman's compensation claims and ensure compliance with state laws.
    • Conduct investigations and follow-up on workplace injuries and incidents.
  6. Workplace Violence Prevention and Response
    • Handle the reporting and documentation of workplace violence incidents.
    • Conduct investigations and coordinate with security and law enforcement as needed.
    • Develop and implement workplace violence prevention programs and training.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  7. Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution
    • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
    • Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and/or management.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution techniques.
    • Ensure that all employee relations activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  8. Support to the HR Department and Team Development
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, report generation, and document management.
    • Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement programs that enhance team performance and employee engagement.
    • Participate in HR meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
    • Help coordinate training sessions and professional development opportunities for HR staff.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, compliance,
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits and workplace safety.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with a standard workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training and meetings.
