Position Title: Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the corporate safety program across various job sites and field locations.
  • Provide guidance and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and initiatives within the organization.
  • Manage and promote Mesa-wide training and safety initiatives to enhance employee involvement and compliance.
  • Conduct timely and precise data entry for various Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) reports and maintain accurate records in digital systems.
  • Document all work-related incidents and ensure proper logging within the company's reporting system.
  • Regularly update and maintain all Environmental, Safety, and Training documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
  • Communicate training deadlines effectively to management to facilitate timely compliance.
  • Assist in the development and updating of safety training materials and maintain comprehensive training records.
  • Support the Learning Management System administrator as needed.
  • Coordinate Safety Team Meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of minutes and attendance.
  • Facilitate communication regarding safety matters across all branches and departments.
  • Maintain and analyze internal safety-related statistics to drive improvements.
  • Encourage employee engagement in safety practices and initiatives.
  • Perform general office duties and other related EHS tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in the development of quality metrics and resources, and perform data entry as required.
  • Stay informed about OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Provide training to personnel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to various job sites and satellite offices as needed.
  • Associate degree or equivalent coursework in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Compliance Programs.
  • Preferred experience in a multi-department administrative support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in document editing and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
