Position Title: Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the corporate safety program across various locations, including fixed branches and job sites.
  • Coach and ensure compliance with all corporate safety protocols among field personnel.
  • Manage and promote corporate training and safety initiatives to enhance employee engagement and participation.
  • Conduct timely and precise data entry for various Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) reports and maintain accurate records in web-based systems.
  • Document all work-related incidents and accidents in the company's system, ensuring proper initial notifications are recorded.
  • Maintain and update all Environmental, Safety, and Training documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
  • Communicate training deadlines effectively to management to facilitate timely compliance.
  • Assist in the development and updating of safety training materials and maintain comprehensive training records.
  • Provide support for the Learning Management System administrator as needed.
  • Coordinate Safety Team Meetings, documenting minutes and attendance while keeping safety postings current.
  • Facilitate communication regarding safety issues among all branches, departments, and shifts.
  • Track and update internal safety-related statistics to monitor performance.
  • Encourage employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.
  • Perform general office duties and other related EHS tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in developing quality metrics and resources, and perform data entry as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant rules and regulations.
  • Provide training to personnel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to job sites and satellite offices as needed, including occasional multi-day trips.
  • Associate degree or equivalent coursework in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years of office experience, proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Compliance Programs.
  • Preferred experience in a multi-department administrative support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including document editing, proofreading, and record keeping.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage department projects from inception to completion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
