Position Title: Safety Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of the corporate safety program across various job sites and operational branches.
- Coach and ensure adherence to corporate safety standards among field personnel.
- Manage and promote Mesa-wide training and safety initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
- Accurately enter and maintain data for various Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) reports and systems.
- Document all work-related incidents and ensure proper logging in the company’s reporting system.
- Maintain and update all safety, environmental, and training documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
- Communicate training deadlines effectively to management to ensure timely compliance.
- Assist in the development and updating of safety training materials and maintain training records.
- Support the Learning Management System administrator as needed.
- Coordinate Safety Team Meetings, documenting minutes and attendance while keeping relevant postings current.
- Facilitate communication regarding safety matters across all branches and departments.
- Track and maintain internal safety statistics and metrics.
- Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Perform general office tasks and other related EHS responsibilities as assigned.
- Contribute to the development of quality metrics and assist with data entry tasks.
- Stay informed on OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Provide training to personnel as required.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel to job sites and satellite offices as necessary.
- Associate degree or equivalent coursework in occupational health and safety.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and compliance programs.
- Experience in a multi-department administrative support role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in administrative functions, including document editing and record keeping.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from initiation to completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $38.
