Sales Account Manager Job Description

Splintek Inc is seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling new and existing products in a specified region or customer and providing ongoing support to all product distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and successful launch of new products
  • Adhere to all GMP/GLP requirements
  • Create and implement effective direct sales objectives and lead nationwide sales goals
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary
  • Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Provide supervision through retail field visits, observations, and measurement of results
  • Proactively identify changes in retail delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
  • Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies
  • Partner with distributors, brokers, and buyers - Corporate and Strategic Accounts in the development and maintaining of key customer relationship management
  • Assists resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale, and developing marketing plans for contract accounts
  • Category SWOT analysis, IRI trends and develop new methods of attaining re-sellers
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding procurement and shipment of products
  • Responsible for meeting product profit thresholds by account
  • Product-forecasting & coordination with the associated department
  • Manage, Plan, and Budget Trade Shows

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of field sales experience required
  • Proficient in product demand forecasting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Management Experience
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Negotiation skills
  • Retail knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Pivot Tables etc.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Use vision to read, write, type, operate office, electronic, and manufacturing equipment, and make fine adjustments
  • Give and receive information through speaking and hearing
  • Requires hands to operate equipment
  • Regularly lift, push, and move up to 50lbs
  • Office and warehouse environments may be dust, contain sharp edges, include areas that are not well lit, the floor may be uneven or cracked, and the facility may be subject to variations in temperature
