Job Opportunity: Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physician

Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Clinician Educator, you will provide high-quality patient care, teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to the development of our pediatric hospital medicine program.

About the Role

This is a full-time or part-time position, depending on your preference, to cover community hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will work closely with our team of pediatric hospitalists to provide comprehensive care to hospitalized pediatric patients. Your expertise and passion for pediatric hospital medicine will be invaluable in shaping the future of our program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to hospitalized pediatric patients
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric hospital medicine
  • Contribute to the development of our pediatric hospital medicine program, including quality improvement initiatives and educational activities
  • Collaborate with our team of pediatric hospitalists to provide comprehensive care to hospitalized pediatric patients
Requirements
  • Active or able to apply for a California medical license
  • Experience and comfort with the care of hospitalized pediatric patients
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Interest in personal faculty development in various areas, such as quality improvement, evidence-based care, and medical education
  • Recent delivery room experience (dependent on clinical position)
  • Experience with quality improvement work and/or projects (preferred but not required)
