Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Cashier is tasked with executing financial transactions and delivering exceptional customer service for the organization. This role requires adherence to qualifications for employment as outlined by the relevant policy manuals and accreditation standards.

Complies with established rules and regulations set forth by institutional policies and procedures.

The position may necessitate travel to various service areas as required.

Participates in all professional development training; ensures timely completion of reports, records, and invoices while maintaining accurate inventory of all assigned assets.

Maintains qualifications for employment as dictated by the applicable policy manuals and institutional procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

§ Processes cash, checks, and/or money orders from clients for tuition and miscellaneous fees

§ Balances receipts and updates accounting records;

§ Gathers routine billing information from external agencies responsible for tuition payments and executes billing functions;

§ Prepares and dispatches account statements and other routine correspondence;

§ Maintains billing and related documentation;

§ Prepares bank deposits;

§ Assists with all New Client Registration Sessions;

§ Performs basic clerical duties such as typing, answering calls, and related tasks;

§ Manages the organization's petty cash fund

§ Completes all assigned training in a timely manner

§ Other duties as assigned

§ Proficient in computer systems and job-related software applications

§ Understanding of customer service standards

§ Strong interpersonal skills

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Must provide transcripts that confirm educational qualifications and document work history:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent

§ At least six (6) months of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, provide transcripts of conferred degrees and demonstrate relevant experience in the following areas:

§ Completion of a basic accounting course at either the high school or post-secondary level that provided training in accounting clerical functions OR one year of documented experience in clerical roles that included training in accounting clerical tasks

§ Relevant work experience in the field of post-secondary education.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary / Benefits:


Annual salary range from $32,244 (High School Diploma/Equivalent) to $34,800 (Associate degree); actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's highest qualifying degree and meeting both minimum and preferred qualifications.

This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week throughout the year. The role is eligible for state benefits, including retirement plans, insurance, leave accrual, and holiday pay. The organization is a participant in the Teachers Retirement System and Employees Retirement System of Georgia.
