Job Overview

Buck & Rider is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our back-of-house operations, you will be responsible for leading culinary teams and managing daily food service operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-volume scratch kitchen with a focus on execution and quality
  • Meet brand standards in all practices and procedures
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to team members
  • Conduct regular line checks to ensure quality and consistency
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through memorable culinary moments
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with other managers to achieve common goals
  • Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and training
  • Participate in prep and line cooking as needed
  • Contribute to maximizing financial success for the restaurant
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements
  • 2+ years of prior culinary experience in high-volume environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with managing inventory, costs, and labor
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and using knives safely
  • Current Food Handler's/Servesafe card or ability to obtain
