Medical Office LPN Position

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Medical Office LPN to join our team. As a Medical Office LPN, you will play a vital role in providing primary medical care to patients in our office practice. This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek, with shifts varying between 7:30am and 6:00pm.
Responsibilities- Prepare materials, supplies, equipment, and patients to assist physicians or physician assistants with medical exams.
- Obtain patients' histories and basic medical data, such as vital signs, temperature, height, weight, vision, and chief complaint.
- Provide direct patient care, including ear irrigation, vaccinations, medications, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Instruct patients and families on how to perform physician-recommended preventive care, take prescribed medication, prepare for tests, monitor treatment progress, and note symptom changes.
- Contact patients by telephone to provide requested follow-up, advise them of test results, or relay physicians' instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practices' and WCMG missions through a process of total quality improvement.
- Complete all meaningful use requirements.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry.
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy.
- EKG.
- Successful completion of medical scribing within the probationary period.
This position is located at Nuvance Health's Danbury location, 33 Germantown Rd. The work environment is generally pleasant, with medium to heavy effort required. The position may exert up to 35 pounds of force.
