We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical office team at Nuvance Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians and physician assistants in delivering exceptional medical services.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering medical history, vital signs, and other necessary information.
- Assist physicians and physician assistants with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other medical treatments as directed.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens, such as blood and urine samples.
- Provide patient education on preventive care, medication management, and treatment plans.
- Communicate with patients and families to provide updates on test results, treatment plans, and other important information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry experience.
- Ability to obtain accurate patient vitals and perform other medical tasks.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- EKG experience.
- Successful completion of medical scribing within a probationary period.
This is a full-time position working in a medical office setting. The work schedule will vary between 7:30am and 6:00pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
