Medical Office LPN Float Team- Danbury, CT

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Float Team in Danbury, CT. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing primary medical care to patients in our office practice.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering necessary materials and supplies.
- Obtain patients' medical histories and vital signs, including temperature, height, and weight.
- Provide direct patient care, such as vaccinations, medications, and wound care.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up care and relay physician instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and Nuvance Health's missions.
- Meet all meaningful use requirements and fulfill compliance responsibilities.
- Maintain Nuvance Health's values and demonstrate regular attendance.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry.
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
- One year of experience as an LPN.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
This position is located at Summit-100 Reserve Rd in Danbury, CT. We offer a full-time schedule with 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts from 8:00am-5:30pm.
