About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Experimental Superconducting Quantum Physicist to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). This individual will play a critical role in advancing our research capabilities in superconducting quantum devices and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for our sponsors.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of solid-state quantum devices, including superconducting qubits, and a proven track record of research achievements in the field. They will be able to propose and lead independent research projects, work collaboratively with other APL staff, and support ongoing programs in quantum information science.

In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by their start date and meet the requirements for access to classified information, including U.S. citizenship.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000-$330,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
