Position: Senior Security Operations Consultant
Join the CrowdStrike Platform Operations team and contribute to our mission of safeguarding our most vital clients.

The Senior Security Operations Consultant is tasked with delivering specialized assistance to clients, encompassing implementation, continuous operational support, threat detection, and incident management utilizing the CrowdStrike platform and associated technologies.

This role will serve as a supervisory and technical escalation resource for the client's security operations center (SOC) team, leveraging CrowdStrike and related technologies. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for strategizing, optimizing, maintaining, and providing ongoing support for the CrowdStrike platform and its related applications.


Key Responsibilities:

- Advise clients on best practices for Cloud Security, Cloud Security Configuration, and integration to fulfill business needs.
- Design, implement, and configure SIEM solutions to gather, correlate, and analyze security events and logs from diverse sources.
- Assist in the integration of log sources into Elastic, creating tailored detections to enhance overall security visibility.
- Support clients in developing and advancing their security operations and threat detection and response capabilities.
- Create and maintain correlation rules, filters, and dashboards to enhance the precision and efficiency of threat detection.
- Align cloud configurations and log sourcing with industry best practices.
- Guide clients by researching and evaluating potential threats and indicators of compromise.
- Develop reporting dashboards based on security events from cloud platforms.
- Act as the escalation point for inquiries and issues related to cloud platforms.
- Review existing cloud and SIEM environments to identify performance and security objectives, gaps, and opportunities.
- Optimize, configure, and test cloud and SIEM technology deployments to facilitate custom detection and dashboard creation, as well as log ingestion.
- Collaborate closely with client security and IT teams on-site.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent military or professional experience.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances as required by the client.
- Over 5 years of experience in SIEM administration, configuration, and management.
- More than 3 years of client-facing consulting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms, along with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to convey technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, from analysts to executives.
- Broad experience in computer and network systems security.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to identify solutions to complex challenges.
- High level of motivation; self-starter; results-oriented.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with federal government work environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or vendor-specific SIEM certifications.
