Position Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, renowned for its legacy in producing exceptional healthcare professionals, is seeking a dedicated Senior Healthcare Provider to join our Primary Care Services team. Our network spans 15 clinical locations, serving over 100,000 patients in the Cincinnati Tri-State area. With access to specialized tertiary care, our commitment to innovative, patient-centered medical practices is unwavering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical examinations for patients with complex and chronic health issues.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and manage medical conditions.
  • Order and interpret various diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
  • Prescribe both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions tailored to patient needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment strategies.
  • Maintain precise and thorough medical documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and make referrals as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
  • Support evidence-based decision-making among staff, patients, and families.
  • Contribute to the education of nursing and medical students.
  • Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Education: Master's degree in nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
  • Certifications: Valid RN license in Ohio with prescriptive authority.

OR

Physician Assistant:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Certifications: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a valid PA license in Ohio.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Regular use of repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
