Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete business development process, from identifying and negotiating commercial agreements with both emerging and established technology firms, focusing on payment infrastructure and fintech.
- Engage with both local and international technology and fintech communities to discover potential partnerships, initiate outreach, and lead or assist in strategic partnership opportunities.
- Design and implement customized and standardized partnership frameworks, collaborating closely with Visa's global and regional product leaders and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Co-create market entry strategies, pinpointing opportunities to deploy Visa's products and solutions that yield mutual benefits for Visa and its partners.
- Support local teams in the negotiation and execution of commercial contracts with fintech clients.
- Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal stakeholders during active account discussions and across key focus areas.
- Build, maintain, and enhance ecosystem relationships to foster a greater preference for Visa's products and solutions, including initiatives for thought leadership that may involve publications or speaking engagements.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office presence. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week, as determined by leadership and business needs.
Qualifications:
- Basic Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 8 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 3 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or over 6 years with a PhD.
- Strong interest in the FinTech and digital commerce sectors.
- Extensive experience in business development, product development, or partnership management, particularly within FinTech or startups.
- Ability to operate swiftly, mirroring the pace of startups, and to instill that urgency within other teams.
- Resilient and capable of working independently in ambiguous environments with multiple clients and within a matrix organization.
- A strong drive for business success.
- Comprehensive understanding of the FinTech landscape, with the ability to communicate effectively with fintechs, lenders, and marketplaces while addressing their metrics and concerns.
- Knowledge of banking and FinTech regulations.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate across various disciplines and organizational groups.
- Team-oriented, client-focused, and collaborative, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a readiness to challenge the status quo.
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
Additional Information:

- Travel Requirements: This role requires travel approximately 20-25% of the time.
