About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to join our team at Boise State University. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Management: Manage various processes and liaison with other units, including Human Resources, research support, financials, data management, and communication.
  • Customer Service: Direct customer service and support functions, assisting in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Serve as liaison to other team members, interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management, and training and supervising new employees.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Complete hiring of student, part-time temporary, and full-time employees.
  • Payroll and Fiscal Management: Review and track payroll, ensuring accuracy, and oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Manage departmental procurement activities via P-card, requisitions, and invoices, and draft and route contracts for services and local engagement agreements.
  • Financial Transactions: Process check deposits and Foundation reimbursements, review departmental P-card transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, and complete budget transfers, journal entries, payroll corrections, and correcting entries as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Ability to multitask and delegate, excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines, ability to perform a wide range of duties and tasks, and ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University Policies: Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems preferred.
  • Financial Experience: Experience with financial processes in higher education strongly preferred.
