Overview:
An excellent opportunity awaits a Patient Transport Specialist to join an organization dedicated to holistic patient care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Key Features:
- Flexible hours each week, with shifts from 0600 to 1500 or 1500 to 2330; weekend and holiday shifts available.
- Relief position to cover staff on leave.
Role Summary:
The Patient Transport Specialist will oversee the movement of patients, equipment, and personnel throughout the facility using monitoring systems to ensure efficient flow in both inpatient and outpatient areas.
Under the guidance of the supervisor, the Specialist will adjust monitoring zones as necessary to prevent delays in patient movement.
Responsibilities:
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports, notifying relevant parties and recommending adjustments to optimize patient flow.
- Manage current patient flow systems by updating user access as staff transition through various hospital locations.
- Ensure that all personnel within the Command Centers are positioned effectively to facilitate timely patient movement in testing and inpatient areas.
- Monitor staff assignments within the system, allocating resources based on the demands of different units or areas within the hospital.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Transport Command Certification with successful completion of EUPA required; experience with Grand Central and understanding of transport systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively engage with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrates commitment to the organization's philosophy, values, mission, and vision.
