Ophthalmic Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Shoreline Vision is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering top-notch eye care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Assist ophthalmologists in preparing patients for exams, including conducting preliminary testing and gathering medical history
- Record patient data accurately and efficiently in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Perform various diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, and visual field assessments
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to work weekends as needed
